The latest version of your systems firmware are available from support.activestorage.com (the current firmware as of this posting is 1.40). It is important that you only use the version for your ActiveRAID (firmware files are named AC16SFC01SC [ActiveRAID ES Single Controller] and AC16SFC01 [ActiveRAID Dual Controller]). Please call support immediately if you are unsure of any part of this process or have any questions.
NOTE: It is highly recommended that you have a current backup of your data before performing a firmware update to your ActiveRAID system. It is also recommended that this upgrade be performed when the system is idle and Fibre Channel activity has ceased, as a restart is required.
- Download the ActiveRAID Firmware Updater attached to this post.
- Download the appropriate firmware update for your ActiveRAID system.
- Extract the Firmware Updater application and the firmware bundle from their .ZIP files.
- Double click on the Firmware Updater application, connect to your ActiveRAID system and start the controller update process. You will be prompted to select the firmware bundle in this process. Your controllers will automatically restart if necessary to complete the upgrade.
